Association of Humanists, Agnostics and Atheists

AHAA offers students with this worldview ways to explore how their values and perspectives offer meaning to their lives.  Members also engage students from other worldviews for a rich dialogue on ethics, religion and their intersections with student life. Viki Brooks serves as advisor.

AUM Hindu Association

This group provides a means for Hindu students to collaborate, as well as for Union College students and faculty to learn about the Hindu religion. Members have the opportunity to learn and/or educate the Union student body about Hinduism through discussion, prayers, debate, celebrations and recognition of Hindu culture and values. All students, faculty, & staff are welcome. Jyoiti Swamanathan is their spiritual advisor.

Better Together Interfaith Youth Core

Based on the common ground of community service, this student group programs at least one interfaith service or dialogue event a term. The group is open to all students.  Viki Brooks serves as advisor.  

Buddhist Student Association

Buddhists at Union College express their worldview through a variety of Buddhist thought and practice.  This student organization engages participants in meditation practices, chanting and trips to area Buddhist sacred sites. Erika Nelson serves as advisor. 

Campus Protestant Ministry

The Union College Campus Protestant Ministry provides opportunities for service, guidance, care, fellowship and fun for over 300 Protestant students on campus.  Viki Brooks serves as advisor.

Catholic Student Association

The Catholic Student Association is open and welcoming to all.  We support the spiritual life and development of students through fellowship, worship, education and opportunities for service in the community. David Stagliano serves as advisor.

Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir and Liturgical Dancers

The ensemble is a non-denominational organization that promotes self-expression through the singing of contemporary and traditional religious songs. The group performs for the College and the local community. Membership is open to all students regardless of previous experience. Gretchel Hathaway serves as advisor.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

IVCF is a means for Christians on campus to get to know one other. This group's activities include (but are not limited to) weekly meetings for Bible study, prayer, and singing, as well as organized retreats.  All students are welcome.

Muslim Students' Association

This association promotes unity and joint action among Muslims, and also between Muslims and non-Muslims. The MSA offers on-campus congregational prayer times, community service projects, and collaboration with other MSA's in the capital region. Genghis Khan serves as advisor.

Union Chabad

Chabad provides a home where all are welcome regardless of background or affiliation, and a place where every Jew is family. This Jewish student organization provides educational, social, and recreational programming for students and faculty. Laiky Rubin and Shmuly Rubin serve as advisors.

Union Hillel

Hillel is the official organization of the Jewish students on campus. In the spring of 2009, Union's Hillel was selected by Hillel International to take part in the "Small and Mighty Campuses of Excellence II," a pilot program to enhance Jewish life on small campuses. Bonnie Cramer serves as the staff advisor. Union Hillel website
