End of Term Hall Closing
The last day of finals for the fall term is Tuesday, November 22, 2016. All residence halls officially close on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 12 noon SHARP! If you are a resident student you are required to vacate the residence hall within 24 hours after your last exam. All residence halls will open again on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 12 noon, and no earlier.
If you need to stay for any part of winter break, when our residence halls are closed, you must complete the “Break Housing Application”. All students (including international, exchange, athletes, etc.) must complete the application to reside on campus during the break. The deadline for completing this application is Thursday, December 22, 2016, as our office will be closed for the holidays (December 24, 2016 - January 2, 2017).
Step 1: Log into union.edu/myhousing using your Union username and password.
Step 2: Click on the “Applications” tab at the top and select “Break Housing Application”.
Step 3: Sign off on the terms for staying over the break, answer the questions, and select “continue” to submit.
Once you submit the application you will see a confirmation screen and receive an email. You will not receive an additional confirmation email from our office, unless there is an issue or concern with your break housing application. International students must also notify the Office of Student Support Services about your plans to stay over the break.
