Beth R. Glassman, Interim Chief Human Resources Officer, joined Union College in January, 2021. Beth brings with her in excess of 25 years of strategic HR experience.

Beth has held leadership roles in both the higher education and corporate sectors. Beth was recently the CHRO for Widener University where she also led the Title IX function. At Widener, Beth oversaw talent acquisition and retention, benefits, succession planning, compensation, and employee communication for 1,300 employees.

Beth developed a customer focused, 21st century HR function ensuring strategic alignment to university goals and served on the Middle States re-accreditation committee.

Beth’s other senior HR leadership roles have included positions at Brandywine Realty Trust, PwC, Standard & Poor’s, and PNC Bank. Beth has also consulted for a number of organizations including Swarthmore College.
Beth holds both her MBA and Juris Doctor from Widener University and earned her bachelor of arts in Political Science from Tufts University where she was a coxswain for Tufts Crew. She has also participated in the Institute for Educational Management program at Harvard University.

Beth follows her passion for political science by serving as the Upper Providence township Council Chair. Beth volunteered for 16 years and was Board Chair of Women’s Way, a non-profit organization dedicated to equal opportunity for women, girls, and gender equality for all. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two dogs, and is the proud mom of two children.
