Gail Golderman is the Digital Services Librarian where she develops and maintains the Schaffer Library web site and coordinates library digital project development.
Providing leadership in the design and assessment of web-based mechanisms and services, Gail serves as a primary link between the library’s technical and public service departments for the organization of electronic information sources and for associated training efforts. She helps coordinate library web and social media initiatives with other library and college departments and personnel, particularly regarding web policy and site development issues.
Starting at Union in 1992, Gail has presented at local and national conferences, consulted on online content development for EBSCO Publishing and Salem Press, and is a contributing co-editor for Library Journal publication. A 2006 Frye Institute Leadership Fellow, Gail is actively interested in online social networking, integrating technology with the learning process, and collaborative endeavors between teaching faculty, IT staff, and librarians. She lives in Albany with her partner Rochelle, their daughter Jenna, and two happy dogs - Owen and Jake.
