What if I can’t find online versions of the resources I need?
- Shipping and Scanning Requests
The library will mail Schaffer Library books to Union faculty and students living in the continental United States. The library will also scan articles and book chapters. Please see the Circulation and Course Reserves webpages for instructions on how to place shipping and scanning requests. The library will review entire book scanning requests on a case-by-case basis. Please be advised that the scanning and shipping services are subject to change based on COVID-19-related restrictions to campus and our physical collections.
- Ordering resources through Interlibrary Loan
The interlibrary loan department will continue to provide electronic article requesting to the Union College community. Please be advised that other institutions may be experiencing changes in their service delivery, but we will make every effort to obtain materials for our users. We will review hard copy loan requests on a case by case basis. Please see our interlibrary loan webpages for service updates.
- Purchasing digital resources through the library
To request new EBooks or electronic editions of print books in the collection, please use the Suggest a Purchase form or contact Raik Zaghloul (firstname.lastname@example.org), Head of Collection Development. Please note that some titles and many textbooks are not licensed for libraries. We will do the best we can to acquire what you need.
