Six students presented posters on their research projects at the fall meeting of the Astronomical Society of New York at Skidmore College. Presentations included Elise Liebow ‘22 with Heather Watson, assistant professor of physics and astronomy: “Freezing Point Depression of Salt-Water Solutions at High Pressure: Implications for Europa’s Crust.” Samantha Rosenfeld ‘22 with Rebecca Koopmann '89, professor of physics and astronomy: “Star Formation in Galaxy Groups SRGb016, SRGb046 and WBL 105.” Jason Sindoni ‘21 and Martin Pargiello ‘22 with Francis Wilkin, senior lecturer and observatory manager: “Koronis Family Asteroids Observed at Union College.” Daniel Resnick '21 and Owen Connelly '21, with adviser Francis Wilkin, "Collision of Two Orbiting Stellar Line Winds"

An article by Christine Henseler, professor of Spanish, appeared in the edited volume, Leonardo’s Children: Stories on Creativity by Fine Arts Leaders that will Blow your Mind. The article is titled “On the Fine Art of Being Portal: Seeing a Greater Range of Possibilities for Higher Education.” The book was published by the International Council of Fine Arts Deans.
