This page is part of the College's ongoing efforts to keep the campus community informed on issues related to safety and security and to ensure that members of the community have the necessary information to remain safe.

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, also known as the Clery Act, is designed to:
- Inform students, employees, prospective students and employees, and the interested public of safety information at the nation’s federally-funded institutions of higher education
- Broadly require certain policies be disclosed
- Deliver awareness programming to the school and its community
- Communicate with the campus and larger communities about safety issues
- Provide statistics about campus crime and discipline to interested parties and the federal government
The Crime & Fire Log lists criminal incidents which have occurred during the previous 60 days within the campus' Clery geography and patrol area.

Clery Geography Definitions
On-Campus Property: College property within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area that is used in direct support of or in a manner related to the University's educational purposes (including all residence halls) and property within or reasonably contiguous with the area described above that is owned by the University but controlled by another person, is frequently used by students, and supports the University's purposes (such as a food or other retail vendor).
On-Campus Student Housing (a subset of above): Residence halls that are located within the on-campus property.
Public Property: All publicly-owned property within the campus (as defined above) or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
Non-Campus: Property owned or controlled by an officially recognized student organization; property owned or controlled by the college that is used in direct support of, or in relation to, the college's educational purposes, is frequently used by students, and is not within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area of the college.
