Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
IPEDS is the core postsecondary education data collection program for the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Data collected include enrollments, program completions, retention rates, faculty, staff, finances, tuition, and student financial aid. These data are available at the following site: NCES website.
NCES also provides access to the most current data collected by IPEDS through College Navigator. College Navigator is a searchable database which enables users to view general institutional data including, for example, admissions and graduation rates, availability of academic programs and extracurricular activities. Federal Compliance & Student Consumer Information (Title IV)
In compliance with Title IV of the Federal Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), Union College provides a single collecting point for links to information about Union which may be helpful to prospective students, their families, high school counselors and coaches, and anyone interested in Union. The University & College Accountability Network (U-CAN)
U-CAN, a National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) consumer-information initiative, is designed to give students and their families concise, Web-based consumer-friendly information on the nation's nonprofit, private colleges and universities. Consumers are also able to search institutions by a wide array of variables, including tuition, debt at graduation, number of students, graduation rate, city, state, distance from home, affiliation, and more. Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS)
Union is a member of the HEDS Consortium, which consists of 129 small, private, nonprofit institutions around the country that are committed to sharing and using information to more fully enact their missions and promote effective liberal arts education. HEDS website.
