Mission
As part of the Office of Residential Education & Housing, we strive to deliver an intentional and comprehensive residential experience in which students are challenged, holistically developed, and given equitable access to resources, support, and safety.
Vision
The vision of the Office of Residential Education & Housing is based on the belief that where a student lives while at Union can and should be more than just a place to sleep. The focus of Res Ed & Housing at Union is to inspire students with opportunities to engage with the community, allowing the discovery of their sense of belonging and the development of life skills in preparation for the future.
Acknowledging a history of Fraternity and Sorority life that often excluded marginalized groups, our vision is to reimagine the fraternity and sorority experience to challenge societal norms and foster a collaborative community where students matter and belong. We will offer an immersive experience that promotes constructive engagement, reflection, coalition building, and scholastic success at a local and global level, by utilizing our partnerships in the Union and larger communities.
Values
At the core of each of our community values is a dedication to create change for individuals, our community, and the fraternal landscape. All of these values are underscored by our commitment to equity and inclusion. We believe that being a member of a Fraternity or Sorority is tied to the U Journey.
