Alumni in the news: Daniel Carr '14

Daniel Carr '14, who majored in economics, was recently featured in the Montreal Gazette. The article focused on his career in the AHL and NHL.

While at Union, Daniel was a member of Beuth House and participated in Steinmetz Symposium, in addition to being a member of the 2014 national championship hockey team.

Applications to attend Union College break record

Daily Gazette

Applications to Union have topped 6,000 for the first time, the highest number submitted for any individual class in the College’s history.

The record 6,570 applications from some of the nation’s top high school students vying to join the Class of 2020 eclipse last year’s mark of 5,996.

Toddler who got lifesaving transplant meets donor for first time

Laura Pacheco '16 donated bone marrow in late 2014 to a toddler living in Wisconsin. Laura flew to Florida recently to meet the and his family at a Gift of Life event, where doctors said Laura's donation saved his life.

Congressional Corner with Brad Hays (January 2016)

Bradley Hays, associate professor of political science, was a recent guest on "Congressional Corner" on WAMC, Northeast Public Radio. He discussed the President's State of the Union.

Northeast Public Radio is a member of National Public Radio serving parts of seven northeastern states. These include New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

Photographer's exhibit focuses on being a twin

Daily Gazette

The Visual Arts Department presents a photographic exploration of being a twin by Carrie Will in “I Am Redundant,” on view on the third floor of Old Chapel. The show opened Jan. 5 and runs through Feb. 12.
