President Stephen C. Ainlay recently announced he would step down at the end of the academic year, his 12th at Union.

A number of media outlets mentioned the announcement, including the Times Union, the Daily Gazette, the Albany Business Review and CBS-6, the local CBS affiliate.

Sonia Sandoval '16 is Union's latest Mielke Fellow, a position reserved for recent graduates who are deemed capable of contributing to the college in a unique way. Her project involves creating a 3-D archive of Union artifacts.

Bradley Hays, associate professor of political science, was a recent guest on WAMC, Northeast Public Radio. He discussed President Trump's low approval ratings.

Northeast Public Radio is a member of National Public Radio serving parts of seven northeastern states. These include New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

Matthew Liquori '18, Sydney Keane '18 and Kristen St. Andrews '18 are spending their summer helping care for terminally ill patients at two hospice residences. The eight-week Community Action, Research and Education (CARE) Summer Fellowship Program was created by Carol Weisse, professor of psychology and director of Health Professions.
