We encourage an interview as part of the application process. An interview enhances your application by showing your interest in Union and allowing us to hear more about your academic and extracurricular pursuits. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and to hear about the exciting experiences that await you at Union College.
Online interviews are available for high school seniors through January, but should be completed by the following deadlines:
- November 15: Early Decision I, Early Action, Leadership in Medicine
- January 31: Early Decision II, Regular Decision, 3+3 Accelerated Law
Transfer students may complete an online interview by the Transfer application deadline for the term in which they are interested.
Appointments are offered Monday-Friday and select fall Saturdays. Registration is available up to 48 hours in advance:
In the fall, interviews are typically conducted by one of our senior interns. These 12 student leaders are in their final year at Union and each is eager to learn about you and share their Union story.
If none of our available interview times work for your schedule, you may register for an interview with an alumni admissions volunteer. This interview will also be conducted online, and please note the interview completion deadlines above. Alumni interview registration is available until December 15.
At Union, admissions interviews are evaluative, which means we will use the conversation to determine why you are interested in our college. Need some preparation tips?
Note: Interviews for high school juniors will open in May.
