    • Eligibility limited to those students awarded merit awards prior to their enrollment at Union College

    Need-Based Aid

    The following documents are due in the Financial Aid Office by April 15, 2019

    •  2019-2020 CSS Profile - Union's Profile school code is 2920 (To be considered for institutional need-based grantIf the biological parents of the applicant are separated or divorced, Union requires the non-custodial parent (NCP) to file the CSS Profile as well.
    • 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – Union's FAFSA school code is 002889 (To determine federal financial aid)
    • Verification Worksheet - Dependent Worksheet or Independent Worksheet (depending on your status)
    • Parent and Student 2017 Federal Tax Return and supporting schedules.  In addition to the tax return, we recommend that parents and students also utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA
    • Parent and Student 2017 W-2 forms
    • Non-custodial Parent 2017 Federal Tax Return with supporting schedules and W-2s (if applicable)
    • NYS Express Tap Application (ETA) For NY Residents to apply for the Tuition Assistance Program Grant (TAP)
    • Returning Student Employment Application must be completed annually to continue participation in the program

    For families who have experienced a change in circumstances, you may submit the 2019-2020 Change in Family Circumstances Form.

  • Returning Canadian Students

    • Student's 2017 T-1 General Income and Benefit returns, if applicable
    • Quebec Residents - Parent and, if applicable, student 2017 Quebec Income Tax Returns

    Need-Based Aid

    The following documents are due in the Financial Aid Office by April 15, 2019

    • 2017 foreign income documentation (translated into US dollars).  Examples of income documentation are:
      1. The country's tax return, or
      2. Signed statement from your parent's employer(s) on the company's letterhead indicating annual wages, bonuses, benefits, subsidies, or perquisites.  The statement should indicate if the income is gross income (before taxes) in which case we need to know the taxes paid
    • Non-Custodial Parent 2017 foreign income documentation (translated into US dollars) - see examples above
