Greek award winners announced

An award and recognition ceremony recently honored fraternities and sororities on campus for their individual and chapter accomplishments.

“The Greek Awards Ceremony is our opportunity to recognize those members of the Greek community who have been extraordinary in their various roles,” said Tim Dunn, director of Greek Affairs. “This was by far the most competitive year for the awards, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with this year's winners.”

Award winners are:

Fraternity of the Year: Alpha Epsilon Pi
Sorority of the Year: Delta Delta Delta

Most Improved Fraternity: Sigma Chi
Most Improved Sorority: Gamma Phi Beta

Greek Man of the Year: Patrick O'Hern ‘11, Sigma Phi
Greek Women of the Year: Melissa Walsh ‘11, Delta Delta Delta, and Lauren Brown ‘11, Gamma Phi Beta

Male Athlete of the Year: Alex Connell ‘11, Sigma Phi
Female Athlete of the Year: Jordan Remillard ‘11, Sigma Delta Tau

Philanthropy of the Year: Delta Delta Delta; honorable mention: Theta Delta Chi

Male Presidential Cup: Owen Miller ‘12, Sigma Chi
Female Presidential Cup: Victoria Mathieu ‘11, Sigma Delta Tau

Future Greek Leader, Male: Jonathon Lebron ’13, Phi Iota Alpha
Future Greek Leader, Female: Elite Williams ’13, Gamma Phi Beta
