ReUnion, a celebration for alumni and families

Publication Date

Thousands of visitors are expected on campus this weekend for ReUnion, the annual alumni celebration which offers a variety of events for Union grads looking to revisit campus.

The main feature of the weekend is the dedication of the new Peter Irving Wold Center, which was made possible through the generosity of John S. Wold ’38 and his wife, Jane. The Center is named in honor of John’s father, Peter Irving Wold, professor of physics at Union from 1920 to 1945. The new building houses state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research. A special dedication ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.

“We are honored to welcome over 2,000 alumni home to Union this weekend to celebrate many milestones in Union history," said Rhonda Engvold, assistant director of alumni relations. "Whether alumni have returned to campus many times or have not returned in many years, we hope they will have an opportunity to rekindle friendships and rediscover the beauty and growth of the Union College Campus of 2011.”
