Williams and Tangnavarad served as co-coordinators of the center’s service-themed pre-orientation program, Community Experience. Fifty first-year students came to Union three days early and volunteered at several sites in Schenectady. In addition to volunteering, students had the opportunity to learn about the city by visiting local restaurants and attractions. Williams and Tangnavarad were student leaders in the program last year and participated in the first Community Experience Pre-Orientation in 2009.

She has interned at Schenectady Inner City Mission and the American Cancer Society, and has served as a summer STEP Mentor at the Kenney Center for two years.
