Christian Garcia ’14 is this week’s Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
Garcia is co-leader of the Homework Program at the Kenney Community Center, where he helps local elementary school children with their homework, finds math and comprehension worksheets and organizes group games.
“It is so rewarding to be able to communicate with the students to a point where they are comfortable with coming to the Kenney Center and the environment it promotes,” he said.
A New York City native, Garcia is a classics and Japanese double major and also works as a resident advisor in Webster Hall.
