Matthew Futterman - The Wall Street Journal
When he was student at Union, Matthew Futterman '91, opposed the school's decision to move up to Division I from Division III in men's ice hockey. Futterman was concerned the College was emphasizing athletics over academics, and that the quality of student Union attracts would suffer.
Now a sportswriter for the Wall Street Journal, Futterman admits he was wrong as the men's hockey team advanced to the Frozen Four for the first time in the program's history.
