This week’s Kenney Community Center Volunteer of the Week is Julia Tierney ’15.
As one of the student leaders for the center’s Homework Help Program, Tierney spends part of her week assisting local elementary school students with their work, as well as playing games with the kids when their homework has been completed.
Last year, she also participated in Community Experience, the community service-themed pre-orientation program as a first-year student. She also volunteers as a swimming coach for the Special Olympics.
A neuroscience major from Southborough, Mass., Tierney also serves on the Beuth House Council.
