Director Joseph Kahn will come to Union to share his experiences in Hollywood as an acclaimed music video and television commercial director. He will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the Nott Memorial.
A dinner and discussion will be held in Sorum House at 5:30 p.m. Reserve your seat for the dinner in the Minerva Programs office.
Kahn’s groundbreaking, recognizable music videos – for Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, U2 and others – has defined MTV and youth culture for more than a decade.
In 2003, he won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video for Eminem’s “Without Me.” He has also directed commercials for Acura, Target, Hewlett Packard, Bacardi and Saab.
Most recently, he directed the low-budget, self-financed horror comedy "Detention," starring Josh Hutcherson, which was picked up for theatrical distribution by Sony for a release this year.
