Sounds from Taylor Time set to resume

The Taylor Time concert series resumes this term with a performance Monday, Feb. 11 by Steve Gorn on the Indian bamboo flute.

The concerts, from 5 to 5:50 p.m. in Emerson Hall, Taylor's intimate recital hall, are "designed to fit in between work and school day and evening activities,” said Hilary Tann, the John Howard Payne Professor of Music.

Other concerts in the series include:

Monday, Feb. 18: Tim Olsen Jazz Combo: Compose/Talk/Play. Olsen and jazz students showcase a variety of old and new jazz works.

Monday, Feb. 25: Max Lifchitz, piano: Tangos and More. Ginastera, Villa-Lobos, Copland, Lifchitz, Gershwin.

Monday, March 4: Camerata Singers. New voices: compositions from the last quarter-century.

Monday, March 11: Student recital. Performances by instrumental and vocal students taking private lessons.
