The Kenney Community Center Volunteer of the Week is Catherine Tjan ’14,
a bioengineering major with a minor in Asian studies and nanotechnology.
She is a member and former president of the Alpha Delta Lambda sorority, a community service-based organization that works to make a positive impact on campus through volunteering and fundraising.
Tjan also keeps active as a member of the Leadership in Diversity Council, a student representative of Green House and a leader of campus Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, for which she will host a fundraising Zumba-thon in March.
She recently volunteered as a designer and photographer for B*CURED, a Connecticut-based brain cancer foundation with which she has been involved since its founding in 2008. Her hometown is Stamford, Conn.
