In addition to working closely with the Student Volunteer Committee to help the center plan and run events, Fleagle is also the philanthropy and environmental chair of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity.

“Nick served on the planning committee for Random Acts of Kindness Week, securing many of the raffle prizes we will be giving out at the end of the week,” said Janet Sweeney, Kenney Center assistant director.

An active member of Campus Kitchens, Fleagle also works with U Sustain and Amnesty International. His other campus involvements include U-Break, the Economics Club, Volleyball Club, and the Ski and Snowboard Club. He is president of the Paintball Club.

Last spring, Fleagle went on Union’s pilot term abroad in Costa Rica, where he volunteered at two of San Jose’s most underprivileged schools.

Fleagle began volunteering at a retirement home while he was in high school. “Since then, I’ve grown to appreciate the responsibility of giving back to the community,” he said.
