Kenneth Adams, president of the Empire State Economic Development Corp., was the keynote speaker at a symposium Monday, April 1 featuring the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium.
Adams, the former president and CEO of the Business Council of New York State, discussed the upstate economy in College Park Hall.
Besides Union, other consortium members include Colgate University, Hamilton College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, St. Lawrence University and Skidmore College.
The symposium was sponsored by Union's Kelly Adirondack Center.
