A photo by Si Chen ’16 was the winner of the College’s first ever Instagram contest during Union’s annual Homecoming and Family Weekend.
The contest had over 400 votes cast, with Can taking over a third of the vote for her picture of a couple having a romantic moment in front of the Nott Memorial. Chen will receive the grand prize, a Google Chromecast streaming HDMI media player.
The contest was just part of the College’s online presence last weekend, with a new social media mash-up on display online and on campus at Reamer Campus Center and the Peter Irving Wold Center.
The mash-up, which collected community photos and tweets with the #UAlumni hashtag, was seen by thousands on campus and had over 2,000 visitors online.
