A message from Matt Malatesta ’91, vice president for admissions, financial aid and enrollment:
April is going to be a very busy month for Admissions staff as we get ready to welcome prospective members of the Class of 2018. With 40 percent of the class committing Early Decision and over 5,400 applications for a targeted 570 slots, we are well on our way to welcoming another stellar group of students to the Union community.
Many of these newly admitted students and their families will visit the Union campus in the coming weeks to attend one of four sessions: April 7, 14, 21 and 25. We also expect that many juniors, who are just beginning their college search, will also make visits to Union in April. As a result, the entire Union community will most likely see an increase in traffic, both on and around campus.
There may be longer lines at dining facilities, parking might be tight or you may encounter visitors in lounge areas. You may be asked for directions or even end up sitting next to a prospective student in class. Whichever way you encounter our visitors, please join us in welcoming these students and their families to our campus. They are about to join Union’s vibrant community and we hope you will make them feel at home. We encourage you to show your Union spirit and wear your favorite College apparel on visit days.
We appreciate your patience, hospitality and help in recruiting the Class of 2018. For more information, visit the Admissions website.
