Environmental and Human Rights for U Day

On Tues., May 20 the Union College community will stand together in a unified demonstration to show support for human and environmental rights.

From 2 to 4 p.m. Alejandra Vassallo, a dancer and filmmaker from Argentina, will lead a dance workshop in the Henle Dance Studio, and the community will gather on the Hull Plaza at 5:30 wearing red and/or black to perform in the first Human and Environmental Rights for U Day. Dinner will follow on the patio and lawn of Beuth House.

Tables in Reamer will provide materials to create posters and banners for the event on Mon., May 19. In case of bad weather, the rain site will be Memorial Field House. This event is co-sponsored by LACS, Minerva, Interdisciplinary and Athletic Programs, and the Art, History and Women and Gender Studies Departments.
