This year’s Union Film Festival promises an exciting round of cinematic adventures, as 23 talented students prepare to show their short films next week.

The Festival, presented by the Film Studies Department, features two days of film projects. On the first day, Cinematic Montage Studio will present Springematic Montage! – a set of shorts that focus on cinematic technique and cinema language, including titles such as Beat Poets, Man-a-Thon, Monsters in your Basement, Meta-Filmmaking and more.

On the second day of the festival, Documentary-in-Depth Studio will show a series of experimental and observational documentary short films as part of The Out of Focus Film Festival. The shorts, all shot off campus, include Perecca’s Bakery, The Beauty of Schenectady, ROTC, On the Bus, Dragon Boats!, The Poetic Town, Makeup and more.

The Film Festival will take place on June 3 and 4 at 5 p.m. in Reamer Auditorium. Refreshments will be provided, and attendance is free.
