The Wikoff Student Gallery is hosting its annual “LGBTQ at Union” exhibition this fall until Nov. 3, coinciding with LGBTQ History Month and National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.

The exhibition will include work in the mediums of photography, documentary film, musical composition and creative writing by professors, recent graduates and alumni.

Artists include: Professor Martin Benjamin, Stephanie Burlton ’07, Pakk Hiu ’00, Trevor Martin ’14, Michael Allen Potter ’94, Sarah Rand ’14, Shanna Saldaña ’14 and Amilcar Tirado ’02.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Wikoff Student Gallery. Alumni author Michael Allen Potter will be presenting a dramatic reading, and light refreshments will be served.

The acronym LGBTQ refers to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning community, and the exhibition provides the Union community a platform for expression and an opportunity to learn, accept and grow.

The Wikoff Student Gallery is located on the third floor of the Nott Memorial and gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. For more information, visit the website.
