So far, the College has topped 1,400 donors, bolstering Union’s Annual Fund and increasing participation.

The Union community rallied on Tuesday to support the College with donations and posts to social media. An event in Reamer Campus Center drew community members and rallied support. Final numbers for the event are still be tabulated and will be released shortly.

“ADay4U showed the strength of the Union community,” said Terri Cerveny, vice president for College Relations. “We want to thank all of those who supported the Annual Fund and showed their school pride.”

The event included high-profile callers taking donations including President Stephen C. Ainlay; Ann Fleming Brown, director of Admissions; Therese McCarty, vice president for Academic Affairs; Gretchel Hathaway, chief diversity officer; Jim McLaughlin, athletic director, and Professor Stephen Berk.

This is the second challenge of its kind. Last year, Union exceeded its goal of 409 total donors and 49 new donors. The final tally was 1,300 donors raising $950,000 in 24 hours. To learn more about the campaign, click here.
