The College is launching a one-day fundraising campaign, #ADAY4U,

ADAY4U

on Tuesday, April 21, aiming to bolster participation in giving to Union’s Annual Fund.

The goal for this year’s challenge is 2,100 donors and acquiring 421 new donors to raise an additional $650,000 from the Board of Trustees. Staff, students and alumni will be reaching out to donors via email, phone calls and social media throughout the day.

All of those in the campus community are encouraged to make a donation to the College on that day, and share it to their social networks using the #ADAY4U hashtag. Also, a students versus faculty and staff giving challenge will take place in Reamer Campus Center.

"ADay4U has turned into an exciting day for Union," said Terri Cerveny, vice president for College Relations. "The challenge is all about participation - bringing our community together to show our Union pride by supporting the Annual Fund. This is a generous community. Go U!"

The all day event will feature high-profile callers taking donations, such as President Stephen C. Ainlay; Ann Fleming Brown, director of Admissions; Therese McCarty, vice president for Academic Affairs; Gretchel Hathaway, chief diversity officer; and Professor Stephen Berk.

This is the second challenge of its kind. Last year, Union exceeded its goal of 409 total donors, 49 new donors and 49 recurring gifts. The final tally was 1,300 donors raising $950,000 in 24 hours.
