Campus invited to meet with Neil deGrasse Tyson

The campus community is invited to a special meet and greet with Neil deGrasse Tyson, celebrated astrophysicist, cosmologist, author and science communicator.

The free event is Monday, April 11, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Nott Memorial.

Light refreshments will be served. There will also be an opportunity for photos with Tyson.

Tyson, director of the Hayden Planetarium, hosts Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and is the former host of NOVA ScienceNOW on PBS. He is also a research associate of the Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History.

Tyson's professional research interests are broad, and include star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies and the structure of the Milky Way.
