Students take second in "Micromouse" robotics competition

Four Union students placed second in the Micromouse IEEE robotics competition at Brown University.

Arsal Habib ’16, Carlos Galeano ’17, Brian Zick ’19 and Jocelyne Akamaliza ’19 constructed and drove “Dutchbot” through a maze in the competition, only finishing behind Harvard by nine seconds. Only three teams were able to solve the complex maze.

Other Union students who participated in the competition were: Htoo Wai Htet ’16, Zibusiso Dhlamini ’16, Edward Gebara ’18, Pyae Sone Aung ’19, Elina Dave ’19, Emmanuela Oppong ’19 and Anthony Yang ’19.
