Gretchel Hathaway, dean of diversity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, and Jason Benitez, director of Multicultural Affairs, were invited to present at the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education conference in Washington, D.C. They presented on the College’s Diversity and Inclusion Certification course. In its second year, the course allows administrators and faculty to increase awareness and foster action to further the college’s strategic goals in relation to diversity, equity and inclusion. The program is coordinated with Viki Brooks, director of Religious and Spiritual Life, Marcus Hotaling, director of the Counseling Center, and Amanda Tommell-Sandy, assistant director of health promotion at the Counseling Center.
