Marcus Hotaling, director of the Counseling Center, has been elected to the board of directors for the Association of University and College Counseling Center. The AUCCCD is the largest organization of campus mental health leaders in the world. The term is for one year. In his role, Hotaling will help guide campus mental health policy and initiatives at the national level. Hotaling joined Union in fall 2007.

An essay by Jillmarie Murphy, associate professor of English and director of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies, was published in Victorian Ecocriticism: The Politics of Place and Early Environmental Justice. The piece is titled “The Politics of Place Attachment and the Laboring Body in Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles." Read her essay here.
