Author and six-time second CEO Les Trachtman ’77 will be participating in a book signing for his new work, Don’t F**k It Up: How Founders and Their Successors Can Avoid the Clichés That Inhibit Growth. The event, Monday, Feb. 12 at The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany (6-8 p.m.), is the second stop on a tour that will take Trachtman everywhere from Boston to Sao Palo.
In Don’t F**k It Up, Trachtman offers his expertise on the most effective ways to successfully hand off a company to new leadership. He also has advice for those who are inheriting a business and want to take it to the next level, as well as for boards who are dealing with these leadership transitions.
Readers will learn how to understand the metamorphosis required to go from great founder to great CEO. They will discover how to pick the right successor, prepare themselves and their company for the fragile transition, create a successful CEO transition, and separate themselves from the company. Experienced in founder transitions, Trachtman has been an innovative and respected successor at six different companies.
