Recent Union graduates and film studies minors Luke Dyer ‘18, AJ Hubbard ’18 and Kevin Jordan ’18 won first place in the 15 Min. Max Film Student Film Festival hosted by the College of St. Rose. The trio's short film, “Libertine,” was selected from 80 entries to compete in the festival and won first place in a field of 16 finalists.

The short film was produced as part of last year’s Environmental Action Media Lab run by Film Studies and presents a dystopic waterless future in which people themselves are mined for water. The film can be viewed here.

Inside Higher Ed recently published an essay by Christine Henseler, professor of Spanish. The piece is titled “We Need More Men in the Humanities,” and you can read it here.
