Union provides $313 million boost to local economy

On any given Sunday, the Schenectady Greenmarket is filled with members of the Union community.

Students, faculty and staff make the trip downtown to Jay Street when the market is outdoors in the summer and fall, and inside Proctor’s Theatre in the winter and spring. They browse and shop among the dozens of vendors offering an array of food, artisan goods and other items.

A lock of hair, a bracelet and a new president: Top stories of 2018

A story about the discovery of a rare lock of hair belonging to George Washington hidden inside a long-forgotten book in Schaffer Library was the most viewed article on the College’s news site in 2018.

The February story generated nearly twice as many page views as a March article about the Class of 2022 being finalized, which was the second most clicked-on article.
