Nov. 2 event to consider Black Lives and legacy of George Floyd

“Black Lives and the Legacy of George Floyd: A Conversation” is the topic of an event on Monday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. via Zoom.

Nyle Fort talking

Minister, activist and scholar Nyle Fort will moderate the 60-minute webinar with ample time for Q&A. The conversation will explore the shock waves of George Floyd’s death, the Movement for Black Lives, the crisis of policing in America and the meaning of justice. Joining Mr. Fort will be two members of George Floyd’s family: his uncle, Selwyn Jones, and his aunt, Angela Harrison.

The talk is sponsored by Union’s Office of Intercultural Affairs, Campus Safety, Black Student Union, Political Science Department and UNITAS.
