The student-produced Fall UDance Showcase will celebrate a wide range of dance styles this weekend, with free performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Henle Dance Pavilion.

The event, featuring more than 50 dancers, is directed by Abigail Resnic ’23 and Zoe Watson ’23, dance minors and co-captains of the Union College Dance Team.

“This year is the first time we will be back in the studio for the performance in a few years since Covid,” said Watson, a biomedical engineering major who also has a minor in electrical engineering. “It’s an intimate gathering, as the dancers get to dance right up to the audience members.”

“It’s an exciting way for dancers to show what they have been working on during the fall term,” said Resnic, a psychology major.

Performers include members of the African Dance Club, Bhangra Union, Union College Dance Team and Hip Hop Club as well as several individual dancers.

Music, which ranges from Sarah Bareilles and Henry Styles to Nicki Minaj and Maroon Five, is edited by guest musical director Andy Iorio and run by Melanie De La Cruz ’26 and Maia Grissino ’23.

The event was organized with the support of Dance Program Director Megan Flynn and Assistant Director Laurie Zabele Cawley of the Department of Theater and Dance.
