Union’s newest campus addition is reaching an exciting milestone, and the campus community is invited to take part.

Before the final beam is placed atop the Engineering and Computer Science Initiative (ECSI) building, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by and sign it, leaving a lasting mark on a space that will shape the future of engineering and computer science at Union.

Beam Signing
Dates: March 30 to April 8
Location: Lawn between the construction site and the Facilities Services building

This long-standing “topping off” tradition celebrates the placement of a building’s final beam and recognizes the collective effort behind its construction.

The celebration will culminate in a ceremony:

Location: ECSI project site, just off Reamer Circle
Light refreshments will be provided.
