Dining FAQs

  • What will dining look like?

    Union College Hospitality is developing a dining program to support the current environment. Much of what we do will be informed by the State of New York and the Schenectady County Department of Health. Working within these guidelines, we will continue to provide students an exceptional dining experience replete with high-quality, nutritious and creative cuisine that features local ingredients whenever possible. The focus will be on an enhanced take-out program with pre-order options that will help lessen the time a dining facility will be crowded.

  • How will the College reduce density in crowded areas during common lunch (Reamer Campus Center)?

    Union College Hospitality will be following the State of New York’s directives on physical distancing that states: Limit indoor capacity to no more than 50 percent of maximum occupancy, exclusive of employees. All indoor and outdoor tables with seating for customers must be separated by a minimum of six feet in all directions.

  • Will there be enhanced cleaning practices in the dining facilities?

    Facilities Services will provide daily enhanced cleaning and disinfecting for high-use areas and frequently-touched surfaces throughout campus.
