Music Technology is a new minor centered on the interdisciplinary connections between the fields of Music and Engineering, as well as Computer Science and Digital Arts. It is a part of Union’s Interdisciplinary Studies program and housed within the Music Department. The Music Technology minor complements other programs that integrate artistic expression and technology, such as Digital Media and Film Studies, while offering students a new avenue to explore the liberal arts and engineering
Students that minor in Music Technology engage with analog and digital technologies through creative expression and scientific inquiry. The minor consists of three required courses and three electives. The courses are open to all students and assume no prior music background or knowledge of music theory.
