ZapWorks Augmented Reality
Project Description:
My students and I spent the whole term inside the world of Harry Potter. And they wrote a lot about the series; but this final project enabled them to synthesize their critical reading of the HP world, their research skills, their creative impulses, and their technological skills/interests.
Why Digital?
ZapWorks allowed them to be really intentional with their aesthetic and design choices and their work with it provided a platform for them to imagine well beyond the traditional research paper. Indeed, the assignment itself asked them to pay particular attention to the relationship between text and image. Overall, the assignment stretched their critical and creative chops, but it also encouraged them to produce incredibly smart, cool projects.
