Every year Union College students and faculty contribute a day of their time and energy to helping out community organizations in Schenectady for the John Calvin Toll Day of Service. Last fall, Krystal Edwards followed students volunteering at the Hamilton Hill Arts Center, which for decades has been one of the region’s main centers for African-American art and culture.
