Things of My Very Own (CMAL)

Things of My Very Own, by Krystal Edwards (Community Action Media Lab)

Things of My Very Own is an intervention program for children facing neglect, starvation, and/or sexual assault in their homes. We learn here in Krystal’s video about the organization and about one woman’s personal connection to the struggles of these children.

The Community Media Action Lab is a project of Jim de Seve and his students in the CMAL film production class. Students produced videos for local non-profits as they spent the term learning about the organizations’ engagement in and services to the community. This video and others like it were screened at the GE Theater at Proctors in downtown Schenectady on March 3, 2014.
