Catching up with...

Christa Grant is the assistant dean for Intercultural Affairs and one of four diversity officers at the College. She oversees the Office of Intercultural Affairs and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.

Andy Morris, associate professor of history, joined Union in the 2003-2004 academic year. His teaching and research focus on late 19th and 20th century political and environmental history.

Tomas Dvorak, professor of economics, joined Union in 2002. His expertise is in using data to make better decisions. He lives in a newly empty nest in Latham with his wife, Karen. Their two children, Sam and Sophie, recently departed for college.

Walk into Schaffer Library and you are likely to spot the familiar face of John Myers. An associate librarian who oversees the Catalog & Metadata unit, Myers joined Union in 2001.

It may come as no surprise that a string theory researcher like Nelia Mann, who investigates the most fundamental laws of physics, turns to science fiction in her spare time.

Carlos Nieves, a senior end user analyst in ITS, joined Union in 2008. He is responsible for computer configurations, upgrades, rollouts, imaging, troubleshooting and a host of other support issues across campus.

Dan Venning is an assistant professor of Theater and Dance, teaches in the Department of English, and is a core faculty member in the interdisciplinary programs in American Studies and Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies.

Robyn Reed is an associate librarian and head of Access Services at Schaffer Library. In addition to providing library instruction and research consultation, she has oversight of the circulation, reserves and interlibrary loan department.

Dennis Chotkowski, the work order system coordinator in Facilities, has recently added rental property coordinator to his duties. Dennis has been with the College since 1995.

Guillermina Seri, associate professor of political science, joined Union in 2007. Previously, she was a visiting professor and postdoctoral fellow in Peace and Conflict Studies at Colgate University.
