Catching up with...Robert Samet

Robert Samet, associate professor of anthropology, grew up in High Point, N.C., which is known as the furniture capital of the world. His mother taught high school English, while his father was an attorney.

Jillmarie Murphy, the William D. Williams Professor of English and director of Interdisciplinary Studies Programs, grew up in the greater metropolitan area of New York City, where she had what she describes as an idyllic childhood.
