Kevin Jordan, Film Studies Co-Director Michelle Chilcoat, Luke Dyer, AJ Hubbard (on phone) and Luke’s father Eric Dyer at the 15 Min Max Film Festival. Luke wore a suit.

The trio’s short film Libertine was selected from 80 entries to compete in the festival and won first place in a field of 16 finalists, beating out entries from the film programs at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, The College of St. Rose, Skidmore College, U Albany, HVCC, Albany High and Youth FX.

Libertine was produced last year as part of Film Studies’ Environmental Action Media Lab taught by Filmmaker in Residence Jim de Sevè. Luke, AJ, and Kevin’s film presents a dystopic waterless future in which people themselves are mined for H2O.

Congrats to our winners!
