Zipcar service rolls into Union College

Times Union

Union is partnering with Zipcar – the popular car sharing network – to offer a Ford Focus and a Ford Escape for use by students, faculty and staff.

Starting in the spring term, the Zipcars will have designated parking spaces in the West parking lot and be available to registered users 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

College embraces history of 1800s friendship that broke racial barriers

As part of Black History Month, WNYT-13 explores the story of Moses Viney, a runaway slave from Maryland who escaped to Schenectady on the Underground Railroad. Viney was a coachman, messenger and constant companion of Eliphalet Nott, the longtime president of Union who eventually secured Viney’s freedom.

WNYT is an NBC affiliate.
